Social Media is a two-way conversation that we began experimenting with in 2006 when our PR extension, ChatterBox Publicity, signed the digital marketing firm, Fan Force, LLC as a client. The acquisition of this account marked our first introduction into this vast new landscape. By 2008, we further expanded our client roster to begin to represent online media properties and personalities, starting with the celebrity/entertainment media socialite and TheUrbanBlogger.com Founder, Necole Bitchie. Before long, we were consulting and collaborating with some of the most influential urban bloggers and conferences, including The Blogging While Brown Conference, the Denver 7 (the only independent bloggers of color selected to cover the 2008 Democratic National Convention), and the Black Weblog Awards. It was during this pivotal year that we decided incorporate social media consulting as a service offering for our PR clients. In doing so, we were part of the early PR adopters to incorporate social media news releases and social media news rooms into the PR campaigns of our clients.

Fast forward two years later; we decided to extend our brand by creating a separate entity, the ChatterBox Agency, which solely focuses on Social Media Marketing and Branding. Today, we advise entrepreneurs, small business owners, mid-size firms, and organizations on how to maximize their exposure via social media while maintaining brand integrity. We also provide expert commentary and reporting on the growing trends via several blogs. Check out our insights:
